Slater Mill presents its second season of Ghost Tours, sponsored by Chatterton Insurance Co. Pawtucket has a long and rich history of the unexplained. Interwoven with history is always an element of legend, at times entering the realm of paranormal. Join us for a stroll along the Blackstone River where we can explore a trove of these mysteries. Your paranormal experience will end in the same location an episode of 'Ghost Hunters' was filmed.
The 2009 season was kicked off with the lecture Practical Ghost Hunting presented by Keith & Sandra Johnson and Carl Johnson of New England Anomalies Research (N.E.A.R.). This presentation elucidated on the basic protocol and procedures involved in paranormal explorations, and how to prepare for the unexpected. They also shared some of their experiences with hauntings they've encountered, displaying pictures and playing examples of Electronic Voice Phenomena.

Slater Mill is a museum complex dedicated to bringing one of the most exciting and significant periods of American history to life. Visitors to the site experience a time when an America of small farmers and craftsmen was poised to become the industrial leader of the world. Visitors are surrounded by vintage textile machinery bathed in the light of large windows. With expert commentary from costumed interpreters they can imagine the lives of the people who made the early mills come alive.
Located along the banks of the Blackstone River, the grounds at Slater Mill and Wilkinson Mill come alive. A great outdoor venue accesible by Roosevelt Avenue and Main Street, with parking on Roosevelt between the mill and City Hall, or across from City Hall after municipal hours.
