The Slater Mill Community Guild Studios along with Amica Insurance presents the Wearable Art Show & Sale. The WASS is a juried exhibit made up of works created from many types of fiber and styles of application. The exhibit offers an opportunity for the public to submit work showcasing their fine craftsmanship and creativity for consideration for this exhibit.
The Slater Mill Community Guild Studios invites local artisans of all (fiber) mediums to submit imaginative and thoughtful creations for the human body. This is an opportunity for established and emerging (fiber) artists to showcase their work in a setting intimately connected to textile innovation. These pieces should be handcrafted and one-of-a-kind. They may be in the form of clothing, jewelry and accessories. This is a perfect opportunity to gear up for the upcoming holiday season! You are only limited by your own imagination.
Exhibit dates: November 6, 2009 – January 2, 2010 during regular gallery hours.
Exhibit opening reception: Thursday, November 12, 5:30-7PM
