Open Studios: Pawtucket

Every Weekend from 09/25/2010 to 09/26/2010 – 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM

The artists in the historic mills of Pawtucket are opening their studios to the public during the city's celebration of the arts, the Twelfth Annual Pawtucket Arts Festival.

Art Calendar Magazine included Pawtucket on its list of the 10 most artist-friendly locations in the nation. Through the support of city government and community leaders, artists are flocking from across the country to set up their studios in the spacious mill buildings that formerly served the city's textile industry.

open studios : pawtucket offers visitors the opportunity to:

• Visit working studios
• View artwork
• Meet and talk with the artists
• Purchase art directly from the artists
• Attend special programs in each mill
• Discover Pawtucket, home of the Slater Mill and the Industrial Revolution
• During the evening of September 25, attend Rocktucket when the city rocks!
