Come Join the Harvest Fun! The New Urban Farmers want to celebrate a great season and you're invited!

What: Harvest Party and Garden Tour
Where: ‘Garden of Life’ at Galego Court, 423 Weeden Street, Pawtucket

New Urban Farmers (NUF), KeepSpace, the Pawtucket Housing Authority, and the Pawtucket Foundation are pleased to invite members of the community to visit the recently-created ‘Garden of Life’ at Galego Court. This innovative partnership has created a thriving community garden for residents and has benefitted from the efforts of almost 200 volunteers in its first season.

We invite the community to come see how the garden grew - and learn more about how NUF and other community leaders are building a better place to call ‘home.’

Hear from Bleu Grijalva, Director and Founder of the New Urban Farmers; Steve Vadnais, Executive Director, Pawtucket Housing Authority; Thomas A. Mann, Jr., Executive Director, Pawtucket Foundation; and Richard Godfrey, Executive Director, Rhode Island Housing/KeepSpace Advisory Committee.

Enjoy a taste of the fall harvest with food samplings, a honey tasting and other ‘homegrown’ refreshments. Following the tour, children and their families from Galego Court will be joining in on the harvest fun with pumpkin decorating, face painting, games and much more! The festivities will also feature the Hot Tamales, a brass marching band.
