Glengarry Glen Ross

at the The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre

Every Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday from 09/02/2010 to 10/03/2010

by David Mamet, directed by Fred Sullivan, Jr.

As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac El Dorado. …Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired.

Scathingly funny, with a thrilling who-dunit at its core, Mamet’s Pulitzer Prize-winning drama exposes a dog-eat-dog world in which small-time real-estate brokers vie for the hot leads at a Chicago firm selling shoddy properties. With money, egos and jobs on the line, the cut-throat salesmen will stop at nothing to get their fair share of the American Dream. This gritty story of shifting values in the male-dominated workplace, revived on Broadway in 2005, is as potent and exhilarating as ever! Winner of the New York Drama Critics Award.

The Gamm presents plays of substance and distinction, acted with excellence and offered to the public in an intimate setting that allows the audience to be immersed fully in the ambiance of the production and the interchange between the actors themselves, and between the actors and the audience.

In 2003, the Gamm moved into its new home, the Pawtucket Armory, since renamed the Arts Exchange. The Arts Exchange is poised to be an exciting venue for the arts, and the large drill hall is often used for events, such as the Annual Foundry Artists Show.
