The Pawtucket Arts Collaborative presents the Art of Morris Nathanson. Opening reception January 14, 5:30 to 7:00 pm with live music by Bill and Em. Art Talk in the gallery at 7:00 pm.
Mr. Nathanson is the Founder and President of Morris Nathanson Design, an interior design company he founded in 1967. For the first ten years of his career, Morris worked for the Rhode Island based Paramount Restaurant Supply Co., developing such landmark concepts as Dunkin’ Donuts, while helping to pioneer the field of restaurant and hospitality design. Mr. Nathanson has been in the forefront of Adaptive Reuse – the practice of reusing old buildings and repurposing them for new applications – starting with a civil war era fire station that became MND’s second office. MND’s third (and current) office is in an old Pawtucket mill building that Morris bought and renovated in the 80s. Morris is also a fine artist and an exhibiting member of the Providence Art Club.
