St. Patricks Day Celebration

Saturday, 03/06/2010 – 12:00 PM

St. Patrick's Day Parade, Pawtucket 

Begins at 12:00pm. The city kicks off its celebration of Irish heritage in Rhode Island and the Blackstone Valley with the always festive and colorful parade. Parade steps off from Division Street and Columbus Avenue, travels along Walcott Street to Main Street, and ends at City Hall on Roosevelt Avenue. After the event wraps up in front of Pawtucket City Hall on Roosevelt Avenue, a Post-Parade Party will be held at the Pawtucket Armory, 172 Exchange St., at 1 p.m.

There will be food, drink, and live Irish music featuring Tom Lanigan, The Granitemen, and the Rhode Island Firefighters Pipe & Drum Band. Admission is $2 and children under 12 are free with an adult.

On St. Patrick's Day, Wed., March 17, an Irish Flag Raising Ceremony will be held at Pawtucket City Hall at noon. There will be live Irish music and refreshments.
